Welcoming:  The book of Hebrews reminds that we must show hospitality to strangers.  Every person who walks through our doors is important to the Lord and to us.  We welcome people from all walks of life knowing that each one is an image-bearer of God.  Unbelievers, skeptics, prodigals, new believers, and mature believers are all warmly welcomed into our fellowship.  We are resolved to be a warm community where mutual fellowship and encouragement saturate our church.

Worship:  God has saved us so that we may declare His glory, sing His praises, study His word, commune with Him, corporately profess our faith, and honor Him with our resources.  As the “Potentate of Time” He summons us to gather each week with His saints in corporate worship.  Because worship is the central event in the life of the church we gather on the first day of the week, prioritizing our devotion to Him, and worship Him in spirit and in truth.

Word:  The Bible is a lamp unto our feet and light unto our path.   It is the inspired, inerrant word of God that never returns void.  In our preaching and teaching it is the word of God that we seek to understand and apply to our present context.   Our Sunday classes and worship, small group Bible studies, men’s and women’s studies all find their anchor in the word of God which is profitable for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness.

Working:   We are exhorted to “work while it is yet day for the night comes when no man can work.”  Our “work” is to make disciples within our four walls, locally, nationally, and globally.  To that end we have a number of ministries that are specifically designed to spread the gospel, raise our young people in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, bear each other’s burdens, and bring glory to our great God and Savior.

Witness: We are commanded to go into all the world and make disciples.  Additionally, we are commanded to subdue the earth and have dominion over it.  The apostles were told to go to Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the uttermost parts of the earth.  Westminster Chapel is a missional church, eager to fulfill the great commission and cultural mandate by sharing the gospel in word and deed, far and wide, in obedience to our Lord’s command, because of our love for the lost and our zeal to see the kingdom of God come in fullness and power.  To that end we are already involved in home and world missions, personally and financially, though we are less than a year old.  We eagerly anticipate an aggressive expansion of our missions’ support in the coming months.
