Bank Routing and Account Numbers
At the bottom of your check, you will see two or three groups of numbers. Two of these groups will have specific symbols either around or at the end. The first long group is normally your routing number, the second long group is normally your account number. Occasionally, there is a third number, it may be to the left, right, or even in the center, but it will be the same number as your check number. This is the check number and should not be included in either Routing or Account information.
